Elevion Group Signs Agreement to Acquire 100% of BTS Biogas.

Elevion Group, a European provider of decarbonisation and energy efficiency solutions and part of the ČEZ Group, announces that it has signed an agreement to acquire 100% of BTS Holdings Italy and its subsidiaries. The agreement has been signed with American BTS Bioenergy Europe LLC.

The scope of the transaction also includes a portfolio of nine plants located in Northern Italy, with three facilities already in operation and six currently undergoing conversion. Once fully operational, the portfolio is expected to achieve a total production capacity of approximately 30 million standard cubic metres of biomethane per year.

The agreement marks Elevion Group’s most significant investment in the biogas and biomethane sector to date and a major step in the Group’s strategy to build a leading integrated platform for green gas production.

The acquisition significantly strengthens Elevion Group’s role in the biomethane sector by integrating BTS’s established EPC expertise and expanding its O&M capabilities through the company’s extensive experience in the operation and maintenance of plants, including facilities based on third-party technologies.

The transaction is expected to generate significant industrial and operational synergies, leveraging the complementary competences to further enhance Elevion Group’s ability to serve the entire biomethane value chain, from plant engineering and construction to operations and maintenance.

In addition, the acquisition strengthens Elevion’s position in the European bioenergy market and supports its ambition to reach approximately 70 million standard cubic metres of renewable gas production annually by 2030.
