Solar Park Reddehausen

Challenge

In Reddehausen, a district of the municipality of Cölbe in the Marburg‑Biedenkopf region of Hesse (Germany), BELECTRIC constructed a solar park with a total capacity of 7.6 MWp. The project is located on land with a low soil quality index between 20 and 25, indicating low agricultural productivity. Upon completion, the project will remain entirely under the ownership of the asset company BELECTRIC Greenvest GmbH.

With its commissioning in summer 2023, Reddehausen – together with its sister project Deubach – marks an important milestone in BELECTRIC’s company’s history. For the first time, BELECTRIC is expanding its value chain into the business field of an Independent Power Producer (IPP). This means the company will now also generate and market solar power from selected assets within its own portfolio.

As Managing Director Dr. Thorsten Blanke emphasizes, this step represents a strategic evolution: BELECTRIC is adopting the perspective of its customers not only as an EPC service provider but also as an operator and owner, thereby strengthening its expertise across the entire project lifecycle.

Solution

The Reddehausen solar park comprises almost 14,000 solar modules and has been feeding reliable green electricity into the grid since summer 2023. The plant was designed and built to ensure long term, stable yields while taking the specific site conditions into account.
By integrating the project into the asset company BELECTRIC Greenvest GmbH, the solar park remains a permanent part of the company’s portfolio. This means BELECTRIC now assumes not only the role of EPC contractor but also that of operator – an important step toward a sustainable and diversified corporate strategy.
